The Health Professions Council

Any person supplying hearing instruments to the public in a 'face-to-face' situation, must be registered with The Health Professions Council (HPC).

The HPC regulates many other health professionals as well as hearing aid dispensers and sets  educational, ethical and professional standards..

Only people who have followed an approved training regime and reached the required standard by proving competence are admitted to the HPC register.   They must also demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Council that they have kept their skills and knowledge up to date by taking part in Continuijng Profesional Development.
