BSHAA Membership
There are 4 categories of membership within BSHAA.

Associate Members
An individual can become an Associate member of BSHAA when proposed by two existing members. Associate membership is granted following approval by the BSHAA council. Associate members receive regular updates on BSHAA educational events and quarterly editions of the BSHAA News. Download an application form.
Students and HAC Trainees
Students studying for a degree in Audiology can become an Associate Student (free of charge). Download an application form.
HAC Trainees studying for the HAC examinations can become and an Associate Student (free of charge), until they complete their pre-registration period. Download an application form
Members (MSHAA)
An individual can become a member of BSHAA by passing both parts of the Hearing Aid Council (HAC) examinations and completing the pre-registration period or completing one of the other training routes as detailed in the membership booklet.
Members of BSHAA have full voting rights within the society, and in addition to receiving regular updates through BSHAA News, they can attach the letters MSHAA after their name on all written material. Members admitted to the society after 1st January 2000 are required to enrol in the programme of continuing education (CUE programme) in order to maintain their membership status. MSHAA status on its own does not permit an individual to dispense hearing aids. The individual must have Hearing Aid Council (HAC) registration which is evidence by having a current registration card..
Fellows (FSHAA)
An individual can become a fellow of the society by either:
Passing the fellowship examination
or
By obtaining the requisite number of CUES within a 3 year period - providing they are already members.
In addition to the benefits of membership, fellows may attach the letters FSHAA after their name, on all written material.

The current subscription rate to 1 September is £135. If applictions are received after 31 March it is reduced to £70.
