Council Members
The BSHAA Council is made up of individuals from a broad spectrum of interests within the hearing aid industry. It includes members from larger national companies, small family run businesses, sole traders and also major hearing aid manufacturers and suppliers. Council members give their time to the Society on a voluntary basis except they are allowed to claim a loss of business allowance of £140 if appropriate for attendance at the quarterly Council meetings. The Council is assisted by paid officers including a Chief Executive, Company Secretary and Marketing Executive. They are consultants and receive a fee for their services.
There are four Council sub-committees responsible for: Communications, the annual Conference, Customer Care and Education.
The Society holds a voluntary register of director's interests.
