Webinar recording: Measuring Outcomes

A recording of BSHAA's webinar from 25 June 2020 with Nicole Da Rocha from Advanced Bionics - 'Measuring Outcomes of Hearing Interventions'.

By the end of this webinar you will be able to:

  • identify factors that are most likely to affect Hearing success outcomes
  • identify specific tools to monitor these factors
  • know where to find these tools

Through their hearing care advice, audiologists provide a form of clinical intervention to their clients. It may or may not involve the use of hearing technology. Just as any other clinical intervention, the outcome of this hearing care pathway should always be measured to validate the need and efficacy. In this webinar, we will learn about what the latest evidence is regarding the factors that most affect outcomes in adult and young adult users; the scientific principles of some common validation questionnaires; and normative data and how to implement the information arising in your hearing care pathway. This is all aimed at enhancing the effect of your hearing intervention measures.
