BSHAA People is the Society's glossy professional journal, published six times a year, and it needs a regular supply of material to enrich the practice of its members. To encourage practitioners to conduct research and publish the results, the magazine is offering a prize of worth up to £500 for the best learned article submitted and published each year.
Articles can be about audiology or audiology related subjects or be directed towards business matters: marketing, lead generation, sales or finance. Ideally they should be 1,500 to 3,000 words in length, evidence based, with appropriate references, and should be illustrated.
In the first instance writers should drop an email to email@example.com with an outline of their proposed article. Once your idea is accepted by the editorial team you will be given guidance and help to ensure that you meet the style and quality expected of the magazine’s readers.
Over the coming year all articles submitted will be considered, and the writer of the article judged to be the best will be announced at Congress 2016 in the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham.
As well as a £250 cash prize the winner will receive a year’s free membership to BSHAA (subject to status) or if they are already a member, have their account credited with the equivalent to the following year’s subscription. They will also be invited to Congress to receive their prize.
